V originále

The aim of the present intervention was a reflection about the role of the in the construction of the local memory. In the case of places such as Western Armenia - now in Turkey - or Osetia, monuments recall the presence of a people who disappeared from the region. The preservation (or lack of preservation) of these monuments then becomes a site of reconstruction (or erasure) of local memory.
