Anotace

Das Buch ist eine aktive Suche nach attraktiven Ansätzen für den Deutsch-als-Fremdspracheunterricht. Und nicht nur das: interaktiv soll man vorgehen, denn dann kommt man schneller ans Ziel. Das Buch lädt die Leserschaft ein, die Perspektiven der engagierten (Ko-)Autorinnen und Autoren einzunehmen und gemeinsam mit ihnen auf die Suche nach überzeugenden und in der Praxis erprobten Ansätzen für einen zeitgemäßen DaF-Unterricht zu gehen. "Aktiv und attraktiv: eine Herausforderung" hieß es ursprünglich bei der Zusammenstellung der einzelnen Kapitel unter einem Obertitel. Deutsch hat Tradition, Deutsch ist schwer, Deutsch ist ein Plus, Deutsch kommt erst nach Englisch, Deutsch ist die Sprache der Nachbarn, Deutsch braucht man fürs Berufsleben: zum Teil widersprüchliche Behauptungen mit jeweils einem Körnchen Wahrheit. Was weiß davon die junge Generation, auf die es ankommt? Jedenfalls ist die Gemeinschaft der DaF - LehrerInnen erfinderisch: sie muss es sein! Sie bemüht sich, ihre SchülerInnen und StudentInnen zu motivieren und ihnen das Deutschlernen zu versüßen. Denn sie weiß sehr wohl: Wenn man die Pflichtübungen einmal schafft und zur Kür übergehen kann, dann wird es richtig attraktiv, sich in der Sprache zu orientieren, sich daran zu laben, Zwischentöne zu verstehen und Queranspielungen zu verfolgen. Durch die deutsche Sprache kommt man an fremde Welten heran, man kann Europa und die Europäische Union entdecken, indem man im Original hört und liest bzw. anderen hilft sich zu verständigen.

The book represents the results of a project of an active search for attractive approaches to Teaching German as a Foreign Language. And not only that: one should proceed interactively in order to reach his/her goal faster. The book invites the readers to adopt the perspectives of the committed (co-)authors and to join them in the search for convincing approaches to contemporary Teaching of GFL that have been tried and tested in practice. "Active and attractive: a challenge" was the original motto when compiling the individual chapters. German has tradition, German is difficult, German is a plus, German comes only after English, German is the language of the neighbors, German is needed for professional life - these may appear as contradictory assertions, but each with a grain of truth. What does the young generation know about this, the generation that matters? In any case, the community of GFL teachers is inventive - it has to be! They strive to motivate their students and make learning German more appealing for them. For they know very well: once you have managed the compulsory exercises and can move on to the freestyle, then it becomes really attractive to orient oneself in the language, to feast on it, to understand nuances and to follow cross-references. Through the German language, one can approach foreign worlds, one can discover Europe and the European Union by listening and reading in the original language or by helping others to communicate.
