The publication presents results of regional geological reconaissance study of salt plugs outcropping in Eastern Zagros, which covered the area of about 50.000 sq. km. Altogether 68 salt plugs are characterised from the viewpoint of their position in the structure of the area, morphological and evolution stages, rock content and mineralization.
