Some algorithms for preprocessing of some more complicated parts of Czech texts are presented in the paper. Preprocessor uses some rules taking into account word context. Some other problems with transcription of such complicated parts of text are discussed as well: influence of the speech rate and prosodic phrases segmentation. All the presented algorithms are implemented in the TTS system Demosthenes
