Abstract

Život neskoroantického svätca, Alexia z Ríma, sa dočkal viacerých básnických spracovaní. Jedno z nich vzniklo aj na území dnešného Slovenska, a to v dielni bardejovského humanistu Valentína Ecchia. Vo svojom príspevku hodláme jeho výtvor známy pod menom De divo Alexio patricio Romano podrobiť obsahovej a štylistickej analýze porovnávajúc ho so stredovekou legendou o Alexiovom živote nachádzajúcej sa v hagiografickej zbierke Legenda aurea od Jakuba de Voragine.

Abstract (in Czech)

Život pozdně antického světce, Alexia z Říma, se dočkal několika básnických zpracování. Jedno z nich vzniklo také na území dnešního Slovenska, a to v dílně bardejovského humanisty Valentina Ecchia. Ve svém příspěvku hodláme jeho výtvor známý pod jménem De divo Alexio patricio Romano podrobit obsahové a stylistické analýze a porovnat ho se středověkou legendou o Alexiově životě nacházející se v hagiografické sbírce Legenda aurea od Jakuba de Voragine.

Abstract (in English)

There are several poetic adaptations of the life of the 4th century saint, Alexius of Rome. One of them is associated with the territory of Slovakia, as it was written by a humanist Valentin Eck living in the city of Bardejov. In our presentation, we would like to analyse both the content and stylistics of his poem known as De divo Alexio patricio Romano comparing it with the medieval legend about Saint Alexius in the collection of hagiographies Legenda aurea written by Jacobus de Voragine.
