Die Publikation ist ein Beitrag zum kulturgeschichtlichen Thema. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Linguistik. Sie stellt die allgemeinen und spezifischen sprachlichen Grundlagen der Slawisierung (Böhmisierung) des ehemals überwiegend deutschsprachigen Gebietes in der Tschechischen Republik nach 1945 dar. Das Hauptziel ist nicht, eine Dialektmonographie im klassischen Sinne zu erstellen, sondern die Bedeutung der Dialektologie für die Erforschung der Sprachkommunikation darzustellen und damit zum Verständnis des Grundphänomens des Sprachkontakts beizutragen.

The publication is a contribution to the topic of cultural history. The focus is on linguistics. It presents the general and specific linguistic foundations of the Slavisation (Bohemianisation) of the formerly predominantly German-speaking area in the Czech Republic after 1945. The main aim is not to produce a dialect monograph in the classical sense, but to illustrate the importance of dialectology for the study of language communication and thus contribute to the understanding of the basic phenomenon of language contact.
