Over the past decade, legal and political science scholarship has focused on the various legal and extra-legal factors influencing Constitutional Court decisions. However, the interactions between the Constitutional Court and Parliament —particularly the extent to which the Court put requirements on both the outcomes and internal rules of the legislature — have received less attention. This chapter aims to contribute to the global debate on the relationship between constitutional courts and legislatures. By examining the Czech example, it seeks to demonstrate that even more restrained courts can still indirectly limit parliamentary discretion.
