The requested lecture was presented in Cieszyn, Poland, on November 26, 2024, at the Institute of Music, Faculty of Arts and Educational Science at the University of Silesia in Katowice. It focused on the use of musical semiotics in music education in primary and secondary schools, semantic analysis of a musical work with a focus on the issues of musical icon, index and symbol from the perspective of understanding the content of the work from the point of view of the music listener.
