The presentation presents the results of industrial archaeology in Brno from rescue archaeological excavations in Brno from 2016 to the present. Case studies of excavations of industrial sites in the so-called Brno Manchester will also present the possibilities and potential of industrial archaeology. Industrial archaeology in Brno is currently focusing on the documentation of the development of industrial sites (mainly textile) with a focus on the energy and technological background of factories, and including evidence of innovation and industrialization in archaeological sources. Industrial archaeology in Brno represents, due to the the absence of historical building documentation, a unique opportunity to complement missing information on the development of factory sites and the process of industrialisation of Brno.
