The international symposium of the Kafkárna project/ Centre for Art and Ecology at UMPRUM deals with the theme of ecofeminism. Through a programme consisting of lectures, workshops, screenings, artistic performances and communal feasting, we will ask the following questions: what is the relationship between the oppression of women and other marginalised groups and the oppression of nature? What are the possibilities for collective struggle against invisible/normalized violence? What would a society built on the principles of empathy, inclusivity, care, belonging with non-human beings look like? And what forms does art take that treat these issues? In what ways can art be a language of reconnection, sharing, as well as defiance?

Mezinárodní symposium projektu Kafkárna/ Centrum umění a ekologie UMPRUM se zabývá tématem ekofeminismus. Prostřednictvím programu sestávajícího z přednášek, workshopů, projekcí, uměleckých performancí a společného hodování si budeme klást následující otázky: Jaký je vztah mezi útlakem žen a jiných marginalizovaných skupin a útlakem přírody? Jaké jsou možnosti společného boje proti neviditelnému/normalizovanému násilí? Jak by vypadala společnost postavená na principech empatie, inkluzivity, péče, sounáležitosti s mimolidskými bytostmi? A jaké podoby má umění, které zachází s těmito tématy? V čem může být umění jazykem nového napojení, sdílení, stejně jako vzdoru?
