In this study, I analyze discussions on George Floyd's death and the Black Lives Matter (BLM) movement on the Czech news site idnes.cz. Given the cultural and political positioning of the Czech Republic as a post-socialist country, the events are reinterpreted, revealing a blend of admiration for neoliberalism coupled with a conviction of one's ability to see through any form of leftist ideology. The central argument is as follows: despite the "Left and its media" interpret the events as linked with systemic racism, and police brutality, idnes.cz readers assert that they are more about the willingness to respect societal rules - something neither Floyd nor BLM did. Emphases on neoliberal values are intertwined with color-blind racism, mutually confirming each other. The study employs corpus-based Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA).
