Le temps est une des premières notions abstraites auxquelles un enfant est confronté. Avant qu’il n’arrive à s’orienter dans les grandeurs temporelles, l’enfant doit comprendre le caractère à la fois périodique et évolutif de ce phénomène. Saisir le caractère cyclique et linéaire du temps lui permet ensuite de s’orienter dans le passé et futur qui se détachent petit à petit de son présent continuel. Notre article voudrait analyser et comparer deux livres qui expliquent aux enfants préscolaires la notion du temps de façon insolite. Anne Herbaut et Daisy Mrázková ont relié leurs aptitudes littéraires et artistiques pour réaliser deux petites merveilles livresques. Les livres Un mardi magnifique (Nádherné úterý, 1977) et Lundi (2004) font travailler l’imagination enfantine au profit du développement intellectuel et artistique des petits lecteurs.

Čas je jedním z prvních abstraktních pojmů, se kterými se dítě setkává. Než se dítě dokáže orientovat v časových veličinách, musí pochopit periodický a evoluční charakter tohoto jevu. Pochopení cyklické a lineární povahy času mu pak umožňuje orientovat se v minulosti a budoucnosti, které se postupně oddělují od jeho neustálé přítomnosti. Náš článek se zabývá analýzou a porovnáním dvou knih, které předškolním dětem neobvyklým způsobem vysvětlují pojem času. Dvě autorky Anne Herbaut a Daisy Mrázková spojily své literární a výtvarné dovednosti, aby vytvořily dva malé knižní zázraky. Knihy Nádherné úterý (1977) a Pondělí (Lundi, 2004) zapojují dětskou fantazii ve prospěch intelektuálního a uměleckého rozvoje mladých čtenářů.

Time is one of the first abstract notions a child is confronted with. Before he manages to orient himself in temporal magnitudes, the child must understand the periodic and evolutionary character of this phenomenon. Grasping the cyclical and linear nature of time then allows him to orient himself in the past and future which gradually detach from his continual present. Our article would like to analyze and compare two books that explain to preschool children the notion of time in an unusual way. Anne Herbaut and Daisy Mrázková have combined their literary and artistic skills to produce two little book marvels. The books A Magnificent Tuesday (Nádherné úterý, 1977) and Monday (Lundi, 2004) put children’s imagination to work for the benefit of the intellectual and artistic development of young readers.
