Abstract

Attitudes toward life and its values change more rapidly now than ever. We should not overlook the growing gap between the cultural and material wellbeing on one hand, and its underdeveloped potential users. Within this context, "Central Europe" is not a geographical concept. As a 4D unit, it is not stable either. After 1918, in socially destabilized conditions, Czechoslovakia tried to practise a policy as a certain East West political and security "bridge" (E. Beneš). Important economic, cultural, political, educational, technological etc., effects of globalisation on the life in the contemporary Czech Republic have been given due analysis in the text. We cannot easily cope with our problems of social optimisation and individual justice when no "dialetheism" makes us cautious enough.

Abstract (in Czech)

Postoje k životu a k jeho hodnotám se teď mění rychleji než dřív. Roste předěl mezi kulturním a materiálním blahobytem na jedné straně, a jeho ne dost k podílu na něm disponovanými uživateli. V tomto kontextu "Střední Evropa" není zeměpisným konceptem. Jako časoprostorová jednotka není ani stabilní. Po 1918 a v sociálně nestabilizovaných podmínkách se ČSR snažila praktikovat politiku jakéhosi "mostu" mezi Východem a Západem (E. Beneš). V textu byla věnována náležitá pozornost ekonomickým, kulturním, politickým, vzdělávacím, technologickým atd. účinkům globalizace na život v současné České republice. Jen obtížně se vyrovnáváme s prolbémy sociální optimalizace a individuální spravedlnosti, když nás žádný "dialetheismus" nenutí k větší opatrnosti.
