DEMS is a type of experimental technique, which makes possible an investigation of electro-sorption, electro-oxidation and electro-hydrogenation processes of molecules like aromatic hydrocarbons, some other small organic molecules and reaction intermediates. As a test system the electrochemical oxidation of formic acid and dimethylformamide in 0,5 M sulfuric acid on polycrystalline Pt electrode was studied. The results are presented as a plot of ion current of selected masses of expected products as function of working electrode potential. The faradaic current-potential curves were measured simultaneously. ER -
