Abstract
Between 1958-2000, 3148 records of hibernating bats were made in a natural limestone cave, 92 % of them concerning R. hipposideros. The abundance of bats decreased between 1958-1963 and 1970-1974. Numbers of bats showed significant increase between 1984-2000; reasons are discussed. 521 bats were marked in winter and 517 in summer and the results of recaptures are analysed.
