In English
The paper deals with the unanticipated consequences of so called communication ideology in the context of information society. Information society we construe as a ideal type in weberian sense. The main premise of this essay is that ideological belief in the positive possibilities of new communication and information technologies has the unanticipated consequences for transformation of late-modern interactions. The observations offered in this essay only begin to suggest the possible new contours of interactions in information culture, which is based on commodification and extreme individualism. Paradoxically, these characteristics shape new communication situation which is characterized by phenomenon of electronic isolationism and fragmentation of human communication.
