An exact navigation during the brain rumor surgery enables a direct and shortest surgical approach and therefore decreases the risk of post-operativemorbidity. Ultrasound seems to be the second method of choice particularly in cases where frameless or frame-based stereotaxy cannot be utilized. The advantages are the availability of on-line visualization of changing surgical situation in the operated region, its simplicity and low cost of the procedure.
