Abstract
V originále
Cytoskeleton was investigated by immunofluorescence in potentially pathogenic basidiomycetous yeast Cryptococcus laurentii. Cytoplasmic microtubules formed a random network and invaded into growing sterigma and bud. Before mitosis, nucleus migrated to the bud, while cytoplasmic microtubules dissapeared. During mitosis nuclear division occurred. One of the novel nuclei remained in the daughter cell, while the other moved back to the mother. After the mitosis, the mitotic spindle disassembled, while cytoplazmic microtubules re-appeared. From the actin structures we detected only F-actin patches in the growing and mature bud. Actin cables and actin ring were not seen yet. Even though the yeast was considered non-pathogenic for man for long time, recently reports about its opportunistic pathogeny especially in immunosuppressive patients appeared. Therefore it is important to obtain more information about this yeast on cellular and molecular level. This work was supported by grant GAČR 310/03/1195 (M.G.).
