Abstract
Termín "memetika" mnozí vnímají jako novou a perspektivní vědu. Jeho pomocí se má vyložit lidská kultura jako svého druhu "infekce". Status memetiky jako vědy není ovšem nesporný. Jeho "jednotka kulturní informace" je pouze deklarativní a neoperabilní.
Abstract (in English)
The term of "memetics" has been conceived by many as a new and perspective science. By means of it human culture may be explained as an "infection". Nevertheless the status of memetics as a science is not undisputed. Its "unit of cultural information" is solely declarative and inoperative.
