The L-type calcium current ICa-L and the transient outward current Ito were found to underlie rate-dependent variability of AP duration. In addition, the fast sodium current INa played a significant role under the effect of the class I antiarrhythmic drug ajmaline, very likely as a consequence of its use-dependent block. ER -
