Im vorliegenden Aufsatz vergleiche ich die Techniken der Klingenherstellung, die Verteilung der Silexrohmaterialien und das Auftreten sog. kulturspezifischer Gerätetypen wie Trapeze, Bohrer und kantenretuschierte Klingen aus den mesolithischen und frühneolithischen Inventaren in Mitteleuropa und auf dem Balkan. Ich vermute eine lokale Entwicklung der Linearbandkeramik in Transdanubien und möchte besonders die psyschologischen Aspekte der Neolithisierung unterstreichen. Lange bevor neolithische Lebensart bei Menschen physisch akzeptiert worden ist, müssen sich auf dem psychischen Niveau schon Veränderungen vollzogen haben. Zuerst wurde die Psyche der Jäger-Sammler neolithisiert, bevor sich eine Neolithisierung auf materieller Ebene, die auch archäologisch greifbar ist, manifestiert hat. Am Ende dieses Beitrages versuche ich, die schnelle Ausbreitung der frühen Linearbandkeramik nach Mitteleuropa zu erklären. ER -
