Anotace

V originále

Our objective was to evaluate the short-term effect of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon fluoranthene (FLT) and its increasing concentration (0.01, 1 a 5 mg.l-1) on primary processes of photosynthesis in lichens. Responses of two foliose lichens, Lasallia pustulata and Umbilicaria hirsuta, both with green symbiotic algae Trebouxia sp., were studied using an induced chlorophyll fluorescence technique. The obtained results showed a negative affection of primary processes of photosynthesis. Higher FLT concentrations (1 and 5 mg.l-1) caused already after 60 hours of exposure significant increase of basal fluorescence (F0), decrease of potential quantum yield of photosystem II (FV/FM) and quantum yield of electron transport through photosystem II (PhiII).
