Abstract
Genomes of closely related treponemes, Treponema pallidum ssp. pallidum (strains Nichols and SS14) and Treponema pallidum ssp. pertenue (Samoan D) were compared with the genome of Treponema paraluiscuniculi (strain Cuniculi A) using comparative genomic techniques. T. pallidum ssp. pallidum is the causative agent of highly invasive human disease syphilis, T. pallidum ssp. pertenue is the causative agent of yaws and T. paraluiscuniculi is not pathogenic to humans. When compared to Nichols genome, 1, 8 and 34 differences in the BamH I target restriction sites and 3, 7 and 20 indels were found in the genome of SS14, Samoan D and T. paraluiscuniculi, respectively.
Abstract (in Czech)
Genomy blízce příbuzných treponem, Treponema pallidum ssp. pallidum (kmenů Nichols a SS14) a Treponema pallidum ssp. pertenue (Samoan D) byly porovnány s genomem Treponema paraluiscuniculi (kmenCuniculi A) s použitím technik komparativní genomiky. Ve srovnání s kmenem Nichols jsme nalezli, 1, 8 a 34 změn pro cílovou sekvenci restriktázy BamH I a 3, 7 a 20 inzercí a delecí v genomech SS14, Samoan D a T. paraluiscuniculi.
