N2 - Choosing the right strategy for integration of classroom and virtual learning may become a difficult process. Today, many different technologies are able to improve a quality of traditional university learning environment. However, their combination may not always lead to satisfactory results. This case study describes several successful steps used during implementation of Masaryk University Information System (IS MU) during last seven years. This awarded system is nowadays the only platform for both traditional face-to-face and virtual learning management, administration and communication within Masaryk University, which is one of leading universities in the Czech Republic and Central European region.
