Abstract

V důsledku plánovaného zavádění výuky jazyků na základních školách na stále nižším stupni je v České republice stálý nedostatek kvalifikovaných učitelů angličtiny. Katedry anglistiky při pedagogických a filozofických fakultách jsou nuceny přijímat více studentů, jejich kapacity na to však nestačí. Tato situace se v dnešní době řeší stále častěji otevíráním takzvaných kombinovaných forem studia, při kterých probíhá část výuky distanční formou. V prezentaci je představen kurz americké literatury, který může být využíván při kombinovaném typu studia, jsou načrtnuty výhody a nevýhody tohoto kurzu ve srovnání s tradičním typem výuky, a zkušenosti autorky s výukou literatury prostřednictvím e-learningu.

Abstract (in English)

Due to the planned introduction of foreign languages at elementary schools at an even earlier stage in the Czech Republic, there is a constant lack of qualified teachers of English. English departments of Pedagogical Faculties are under pressure to produce more graduates, their capacities, however, do not suffice. There is a tendency nowadays to open so called combined study programs where the courses are offered in a semi-distant form. The paper introduces the online course of American literature that could be employed within the combined study program, lists the advantages and disadvantages of this course when compared to the course in the traditional format and describes the experience of the author with teaching literature online.
