The article Protection of the financial interests of the European Communities in the Czech Republic is divided into three parts. The first and main part of article is about the implementation of PIF Convention in the Czech Republic. Contemporary Provisions of the Czech Criminal Code on Fraud and associated crimes does not cover all the acts stipulated by the Convention and thats why the Draft Criminal Code was being discussed in the Parliament of the Czech Republic in years 2004-2006. The draft defined a new criminal offence of harm done to the European Communities financial interests. Regrettably the draft was rejected. The proposal to provide liability of legal persons was rejected too. The absence of this form of liability for criminal offences is one of the most significant debt of the Czech legislation not only to the EU. The second part of article is about the priority of the Community institutions in the fight against fraud and any other illegal activities affecting the financial interests of the Community and about the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF), its role and mission in protection of it . The third part of article gives a brief information about Anti- Fraud Coordination Service (AFCOS) in the Czech Republic.

Uvedený příspěvek se věnuje ochraně finančních zájmů Evropských společenství v České republice. Pojednává o implementaci "PIF" konvence a jejich protokolů, trestní odpovědnosti právnických osob, novém trestním zákoníku, činnosti OLAFu a AFCOSu.
