Primary prevention is the most effective and, also the cheapest way to keep the population healthy. From the earliest period of human life the nutrition plays a very important role in this area. The aim of the work was to find out how the education influences the nutritious knowledge of women, how well the women are informed about the nutrition during pregnancy and the changes in nutrition done during pregnancy. The information was acquired by means of questionnaires and antropometrical measuring of a group of 150 women at the third trimester of their pregnancy. The results were evalued by the Mann-Whitney test. Conclusions: Basic habits and level of nutritious knowledge are highly influeced by the level of education of the women. Subjective improvement of nutritious habits is objectively not satisfying.
