We tried to construct electrode modified with bacterial layer. Such electrode could be used for bacteria enzymatic activity estimation. We have used three different types of carbon electrodes - glassy carbon, pyrolytic electrode with basal orientation and pencil graphite electrode. Bacterial layer was a mixture of living SRB - sulphate reducing bacteria - dusulfovibrio and desulfotomaculum in ratio 1:1. Such modified electrodes were used for SRB enzymatic activity (desulphurisation) statement. Desulphurisation is strictly anaerobous process and serves for these bacteria as source of nutrition. PBS (phosphate buffer solution at pH=7) served as electrolyte. The argon atmosphere was maintained to keep anaerobicity. We applied the cyclic voltametry to determine the response of bacteria modified electrodes.
