Autor beweist, dass midestens während des 10. Jhs. "Suburbium" nicht nur der Areal in der Nähe der Burg sein musste, sondern auch mit dem breiteren, aus der Burg verwalteten Raum zu identifizieren ist. Er demonstriert auch die Bindungen, die der Burg und ihre Umgebung zusamengebunden haben.

Autor dokazuje, že "suburbium" mělo přinejměnším v 10. století dva významu. V první řadě se tak označoval areál v bezprostřední blízkosti města či hradu, za druhé se tento výraz pojil se širším, z dané centrální lokality ovládaným územím a byl tak srovnatelný s jiným latinským výrazem "civitas". Dále pisatel upozorňuje na celý soubor vazeb, jež k sobě hrad a jeho "suburbium" (ať už v širším nebo užším smyslu toho slova) poutaly.

Author argues, that in the 10th century there were two meanings of "suburbium". First it was the nearest, mostly fortified area near the city or hillfort, second the area, which has been ruled from (or was under the strong influence of) the city or hillfort - in this meaning ist this word comparable with latin term "civitas". Than the mechanisms of the linkings between the "suburbs" and the cities (or hillfort) are demonstrated.
