N2 - Conference paper deals with the impact of European procedural norms on the third (non-member)states. Although it was not the intention of the drafters of Brussels I regulation, it could, under certain circumstances, apply “universally” also in situations with “third state element”. The extension of application scope of Brussels I at one side leads to the restriction of application scope of national procedural laws at the other side. Conference paper deals with the application of Brussels I to the extra-community cases, circumstances, under which is this approach possible,case law of ECJ and problems resulting from this case law.
