Tschechisch ist, wie jede andere slawische Sprache, eine Fundgrube für Diminutivbildungen. Über "Diminutivis" - eine fast inflationäre Verwendung von Verkleinerungsformen - wurden bereits unzählige Arbeiten geschrieben. Viel weniger Werke haben sich jedoch mit diesem Phänomen kontrastiv befasst (Dressler, Nekula). Im Beitrag versuche ich ein kleines Steinchen in das Mosaik der kontrastiven Diminutivuntersuchung zu legen: Er widmet sich den tschechischen Hypokoristika und untersucht, wie ihre deutschen kontextgebundenen Äquivalente lauten können. Die Analyse wurde an Daten des Tschechisch-deutschen Parallelkorpus durchgeführt.

Hypokoristika jsou pragmaticky motivovaná jména v textech a tvoří se různými způsoby. Článek vychází z tvorby českých hypokoristik (především tvorba pomocí derivačních sufixů) a sleduje ekvivalentní vyjádření v němčině. Zdrojové texty výzkumu jsou obsaženy v korpuse InterCorp a v ČNPK.

Hypocoristics are pragmatically marked elements of a speech and can be generated in more ways. The theory underlines building hypocoristics through derivation and usually does not mention other possibilities such as compounding or reduplication. The article sketches the range of hypocoristic word formations and focuses Czech hypochorisma build through derivation and seeks for their counterparts in German as they appear in the Czech-German parallel corpus. The outcome of this corpus research shows surprisingly high amount of loan-words in German as counterparts of Czech hypocoristics.
