Abstract. New distributional data on an extremely rare European population of Adapsilia coarctata is given and a suggestion to include this species into the Lithuanian Red Data Book is provided. The East Asian population of the same species was described as a separate species firstly and it was synonymized after recent studies based on females. Nevertheless, the gap in the literature of a comprehensive description of the European male highlighted the need of illustration of male genitalia. Important characters are figured in this report.
