Důvody pro absenci českého vlivu spočívají v tom, že čeština byla považována zu jazyk nižších společenských vrstev. Osvícenská ideologie byla ideologií měšťanstva. Němčina klasického období obsahuje řadu jevů, které připomínají dřívější stadia jazykového vývoje.

The reasons for absence of Czech influence may be seen in the fact, that Czech was considered to be the language of lower classes of society.The ideology of enlightenment was the ideology of bourgeois middle-class. The German language of this classical period contains a lot of phenomena remindig of previous stages of linguistic development.
