This book is a practical manual of group psychotherapy. Its first part starts with the analysis of group dynamics, characterizes orientation and course of group sessions and gives examples of various kinds of therapist s behavior. Many useful group techniques are instructively described. Examples demonstrate, how to obtain useful information about present and past problems of the patiens and how to work with them therapeutically. Effective factors of group psychotherapy arwe discussed, The second part is based on the experience of the author and his staff at Kromeriz.Examples of various types of group sessions are given, including psychodrama and sessions with nonverbal techniques.
