The article summarizes the international seminar "Early Modern Reception of Shakespeare on the Continent in Context", which took place at the Devision of Theatre Studies, Department of Aesthetics at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno, between 12 and 15 November 2009. The text characterizes particular proceedings and comments on the contemporary methodology and themes of the researches focused on the early modern European theatre.
