Atlantic salmon (salmo salar) was exposed to three concentrations of TBT and consequently to forskolin (an adenylyl cyclase activator). The mRNA expression and protein levels of estrogenic receptor, peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors, ACOX-1, pregnane X receptor, CYP3A and GST in salmon liver were determined using QRT-PCR and western-blotting.
