The presentation focused on etiology of cyberbullying across different cultural developmental context. Particularly, it is targeted on low self-control as a predictor of both cyberbullying and victimization, as low self-control seems to stand behind many sorts of deviant conduct (and is a strong correlate of deviance and crime in childhood and adolescence). Furthermore, „offline“ bullying, perpetration, victimization and externalizing behavior are taken into consideration as known correlates of low self-control. We use data from the EU Kids Online II project, which provides representative samples of at least 1,000 youth aged 9 – 16 from 25 European countries (N=25,142; random stratified sample). According to SEM model tests, there is an evidence of positive associations between online and offline bullying behaviors (both perpetration and victimization) and mediated effects.
