Dieser Beitrag stellt eine Synthese der Paläoumwelt-Bedingungen während des Gravettien mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Mähren in der Tschechischen Republik vor, wo sich eine maximale Konzentration und Dichte der Gravettien-Fundstellen auf einer sehr anspruchsvollen kulturellen Ebene befindet.
