TURBOVEG CHECK-UP is a specially modified Microsoft Office Access database, which aim is to check phytosociological relevés stored in TURBOVEG database programme. Its main target is a searching for mistakes in species data and header data. In species data there are e.g. keying errors in species names or species assigned to wrong layers. In header data there can be e.g. missing values or values outside the allowed range (e.g. altitude). This application can be accessed using simple user friendly interface and therefore it is possible to use it without the deeper knowledge of Microsoft Office Access. Mistakes or summaries of data are displayed in well-arranged sheets, which can also be printed. It represents an usefull tool especially for database managers who can check relevés before downloading them to national database. Although recently TURBOVEG CHECK-UP is customized to search for mistakes in the Czech National Phytosociological database, it can be relatively easilly modified for other databases which use different species lists.
