In such a situation, it is difficult to segregate transferred from antigen-induced specific antibody. Therefore we characterized changes in B-cell subpopulations in hypogammaglobulinaemic patients, including plasmablasts, in peripheral blood by flow cytometry after in vivo antigen challenge.
