Navzdory 15 letům mezinárodní supervize a asistence, velkému objemu vynaložených financí a úsilí západních zemí je proces demokratizace v Kosovu pomalý a blokuje jej řada problémů. Zadání práce
The thesis will focus on the approach of the international community towards the process of democratization in Kosovo. It will be focused on three main issues: 1. corruption and organized crime 2. problem with independence, transparency and impartiality of the judiciary 3. tension and the security situation in the Northern Kosovo I will analyze the steps that the international community has undertaken to improve these factors and whether the results have been achieved so far or not. The thesis will also give some explanation why the measures taken have failed to reach their objectives and suggest what could be done more to improve the situation. I will use mainly primary sources of information, as official reports, evaluations by international and regional agencies, etc.
