Thesis/Dissertation: Bc. Michal Zeman: Characterization of Staphylococcus sciuri bacteriophages
Master's thesis
Characterization of Staphylococcus sciuri bacteriophages
Charakterizace bakteriofágů Staphylococcus sciuri
Abstract
Byly analyzovány téměř kompletní genomy dvou nově popsaných temperovaných fágů φ575 a φ879 z klinických izolátů Staphylococcus sciuri. Délka genomů je 42 180 a 38 536 bp. Jejich 58 a 53 otevřené čtecí rámce jsou uspořádány do funkčních modulů kódujících sbalování, morfogenezi hlavičky a bičíku, lyzi, integraci a replikaci DNA. Podle struktury genomu a elektronové mikroskopie patří oba do čeledi Siphoviridae …more
Abstract
The draft genomes of two novel temperate Staphylococcus sciuri bacteriophages, φ575 and φ879 from clinical samples have been analysed. Genomes are 42 180 and 38 536 bp long. Their 58 and 53 open reading frames (ORFs) are arranged in functional modules encoding packaging, head and tail morphogenesis, lysis, integration and DNA replication. According to their genome structure and electron microscopy …more
