festations of the social hegemony that designed and built them. Through the lens of
supernatural horror, haunted house literature has evolved in part to explore powerful
manifestations of this physical hegemony. I Am In Eskew, a supernatural horror narra-
tive that has an entire city as a haunted house, uses architecture as both body and mind
to highlight the deficiencies of the world’s metropolitan systems.
