OSNOVA PROJEKTU

1. Vymezení řešené problematiky a základních pojmů (dle tématu práce)
In my bachelor thesis I will be concerned with the moral dimension of teaching. The reasons why values are important in teaching and what kind of impact they have on pupils character development, their relationships with others and with their teacher. How are teachers prepared for the role of moral mentors, how do they share their values and how they are perceived by their pupils. What kind of dillemas can appear in this moral area of teaching. For my research, I have chosen a primary school in Šumice. I will do observations in English lessons, I will be interested in the way teachers share their values with pupils and how it impacts their behaviour and relationships. I will prepare a questionaire and interview for English teachers and then process the results of the observations, questionaires and interviews.
2. Shrnutí dosavadního stavu řešení či poznání (stručná rešerše, východisko pro cíl práce, formulace výzkumných problémů apod.)
Definition of values. The importance of teaching values in education. Moral dimension of teaching. Observations, questionaires and interviews in primary school in Šumice.
3. Cíl práce
The goal is to find out in what ways does teaching values influence the ambience in the class, pupils character and relationships between pupils and between teacher and pupils.
4. Pracovní postup (přístup k řešení, metody, techniky, nástroje apod.)
Professional literature will be studied according to the topic of the thesis. Internet reseach will be used to find articles and essays regarding the thesis topic. Research in primary school will be done. English teachers will be given a questionaire and asked questions in the interview, which will be recorded on tape and transcribed into written form. Informations will be processed and conclusions will be deduced.
5. Organizační, materiální a finanční zabezpečení práce (časový harmonogram práce aj.)
Time harmonogram is three semestral. Research in primary school. Observations will be done in English classes. Questionaires and interviews will be done with English teachers of primary school in Šumice. Interviews will be recorded on tape and then transcribed into written form.
6. Předpokládané využití výsledků (způsoby prezentace, publikace apod.)
Thesis will be published in the informational system of Masaryk University and defense of the bachelor thesis will be done.
