The goal of this work is to explore the logging operator (https://kube-logging.dev/) in version 4 and deploy it in a test Kubernetes cluster. Special attention shall be paid to the Syslog NG variant and multitenancy clusters. A student will explore necessary configuration of all components to make the operator suitable for the CERIT-SC environment and perform preliminary tests. Expected output of the work besides the text is a sample working configuration of the latest logging operator including multitenancy setup, Syslog NG variant, collecting logs from the whole cluster, and a sample configuration for individual user log collection. The text will also discuss efficiency of the overall deployment (in terms of the number of pod deployed) and support for multitenancy in terms of security and robustness.
