Microservice Migration Process to Spring Boot and Quarkus
Anotace
Táto práca skúma migráciu backendu monolitického projektu založeného na Springu na mikroslužby pomocou Spring Boot a Quarkus. Skúma migračné vzory, techniky analýzy kódu a navrhuje štruktúrovaný migračný proces. Proces zahŕňa identifikáciu mikroslužieb, komunikáciu služieb, Greenfield implementáciu a paralelné testovanie. Nástroje ako Eureka, Feign, Consul a SmallRye Stork pomáhajú pri migrácii. V …více
Abstract
This thesis explores migrating the backend of a Spring-based monolithic project to microservices using Spring Boot and Quarkus. It reviews migration patterns, code analysis techniques, and proposes a structured migration process. The process includes microservice identification, service communication, Greenfield implementation, and parallel testing. Tools like Eureka, Feign, Consul, and SmallRye Stork …více
Zadání práce
- Review the major patterns, code analysis approaches, and code level techniques to migrate monoliths to microservices;
- Define a process based on code best practices and patterns for migrations to microservices;
- Apply the defined process to migrate an existing legacy Spring-based monolith (a project developed in the course PA165 Enterprise Java) to a microservice-based system in terms of both Spring Boot and Quarkus implementations;
- Compare the migration to microservices in both frameworks in terms of several aspects: easiness of migration, maintainability, runtime performance;
