Kvalitné generátory náhodných čísel sú nevyhnutné pre kryptografiu, simulácie a ďalšie aplikácie, ktoré sa spoliehajú na istý stupeň nepredvídateľnosti. Abstract
High-quality random number generators are essential for cryptography, simulation, and other applications that rely on some degree of unpredictability. To verify generator quality, batteries of statistical tests, such as the NIST Statistical Test Suite (STS), are used. Although these tests cover a range of statistical properties, some may be redundant or overlapping in behavior. The goal of this thesis …více

construct biased RNG that will fail only specific NIST STS test. Student will use two types of parameterized generators. At least two different generators should be used. A simple RNG that produces blocks of bits with a multinomial distribution. Another RNG is based on a Markov-chain and it produces correlations between bit-blocks. Several phases are expected. In the first phase, for each pair of NIST STS T_1, and T_2 tests, student will find an RNG that will pass (and fail) exactly one of the tests. The next step is to find another generator with the opposite results for the test. In the next phase student will explore the possibilities of combining previous generators into generators that will fail a minimal (ideally one) set of NIST STS tests.
