Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to reach a deeper understanding of theoretical and methodological foundations of selected areas, especially the following: Historical development of the management theory in the context of development of economic, social, political conditions in the society. Classical streams and processes, psychological, social, system, quantitative and empirical attitudes. Decision-making as the basis of the management process. Delegation of the decision-making power and responsibility within an organization. Application of the methods of decision-making analysis, theory of games and operational analysis in making decisions more objective. Psychological and ethical aspects of decision-making. Development of forms of business organization. Corporation management. Internal organizational structures of businesses. Application of the theory of systems, cybernetics, theory of information to analyzing, designing and implementing the systems of business management. Latest development trends in management. Change management, process management, re-engineering. Management in the information society. Examination: oral. It is necessary to work out a written essay to apply for the examination.
