- Abstract
- The objective of the course is the continuous development of the main part of the master’s thesis based on the guidance of the thesis supervisor.
- Learning outcomes
- Upon completing the course, the student will be able to:
- structure the master’s thesis and develop its main sections;
- conduct a review of relevant academic literature and critically evaluate it;
- formulate research questions or hypotheses and select appropriate methods for their investigation;
- analyze available data and present the results in the form of tables, graphs, or descriptive statistics. - Key topics
- The student is required to contact the thesis supervisor no later than by the end of the second week of the semester and agree on the conditions for obtaining the course credit.
- The supervisor sets specific requirements and awards the course credit.
- The student must upload their output to the IS submission folder twice during the semester.
- Submission deadlines are binding and published at the beginning of the semester in the interactive course syllabus.
- The supervisor may define specific requirements regarding the format and content of submissions. The student is obliged to become familiar with these requirements and comply with them actively.

- Checkpoint 1 (Week 9): Draft of the data and methodology section.
- Checkpoint 2 (Week 18): Extended draft including the completed literature review, methodology, and preliminary results.

- The student works independently on the thesis under the supervision of the advisor and may use individual consultations throughout the semester.
- Method of verifying learning outcomes and course completion requirements
- The course credit is awarded by the thesis supervisor based on the fulfilment of their specified requirements and the proper submission of outputs to the designated folders in the IS system.

- In the case of a study stay abroad, the student is generally expected to meet the same requirements as others, as consultations and submissions can be fully carried out online. In exceptional cases, an individual plan may be arranged with the supervisor.
