Prerequisites
Knowledge of computer graphics algorithms (covered in courses P009 Principles of Computer Graphics and M013 Geometric Algorithms I), C, OpenGL.

  • Sampling and reconstruction, alias, antialiasing.
  • Warping and morphing of raster images.
  • 2D and 3D textures.
  • Analytic surfaces. Parametric surfaces, patches, continuity.
  • Voxels, boundary representations, CSG models.
  • Local and global deformations techniques.
  • Space subdivision and searching methods.
  • Bounding volumes, bounding volumes hierarchies.
  • Realistic rendering models. Global rendering equation.
  • Volume and surface visualisation. Triagle mesh decimation.
  • Fractals, iterated function systems, L-grammars.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Studenti řeší 1 praktickou úlohu s využitím programových prostředí převzatých z doporučené literatury (Visualization Toolkit, procedurální textury) a/nebo v prostředí C/OpenGL. Hodnocení této práce se podílí na výsledné známce 50 %, dalších 50 % tvoří hodnocení písemné zkoušky. Pro ukončení předmětu formou zápočtu je nutné vyřešit zadaný projekt; pro kolokvium je nutné zpracovat kromě projektu navíc písemně krátkou studii, shrnující poznatky ze 2--3 zadaných článků a prezentovat poznatky při vlastním kolokviu.
